Laos is rich in natural materials that people have long used to create a variety of beautiful natural papers. Palm leaves, mulberry bark, bamboo and pineapple are just some of the plant matters that can be turned into distinctive papers for a multitude of purposes. In the Paper House, trainees will be shown how to prepare and process bamboo and pineapple leaves into products such as computer printer paper, notebooks, letter and envelope stationery, wrapping paper and paper bags. As with all the Centre's products, the products of the trainees can be bought at the Centre showroom or ordered.
